Ministry and Protocol

THE WECHAPEL

The department promotes the spiritual growth and knowledge of the Bible.  It serves as a school of ministry for those who have the call of God to preach and teach the gospel of the Lord Jesus Christ under the ministry of the WEC.  As members of the Ministry & Protocol Department, ministers are required to attend monthly meetings, in which they receive training on aspects of ministry, instruction in sermon preparation, and assignment schedules for weekly church services.

Through the effective instruction of formal and informal courses of study, it offers “Sunday School” classes such as Basic Bible, Christian Lifestyles, and Children and Teen Classes.

Also, the department is responsible for tending to the needs of the Pastor, guest Ministers and those serving during worship services.  They must be readily available to provide any assistance when needed to the Pastor and various guests. The Ministry and Protocol Department is responsible for preparation for Communion and Baptism Services.

The Nursery section is responsible for attending to all children from newborn to 3 years of age during service times.  The Nursery duties is mainly caring for children, the members are individuals who carefully watch infants so parents may enjoy service without distraction. Proverbs 22:6-7 -Train up a child in the way he should go (teaching him to seek God’s wisdom and will for his abilities and talents), Even when he is old he will not depart from it. The rich rules over the poor, And the borrower is servant to the lender.

Every week, the children, in age directed classes, are taught on principles of life from a biblical perspective. They are free to express themselves and have the opportunity to explore and ask questions. Periodically throughout the year, the children have presentations to the church in drama, songs and musical instrumentation. A Child Protection Policy will be in place and available for members. All volunteers/worker in this ministry have an added requirement to be child-friendly and opened to study continually on ways to take good care and protect children.
