The Welfare Department’s mission is to reach out to the poor, destitute and those experiencing unexpected crisis by supplying food, clothing, housing and community resources and referrals. Members are committed to serving with compassion and at least available to provide vital human services to church members and various communities The WEC holds crusades, ultimately empowering them to be self-reliant.
It also motivates students from kindergarten to the Senior High school and/or university. The Welfare Department provides scholarships, weekly tutoring, workshops on financial aid and career development programs. This department also helps students find monies needed to continue their education and helpful advice on all aspects of obtaining a quality education.
The Welfare Department supports the care of orphans and widows particularly in the church and communities we have our crusades. The department also ensure the complete well-being of displaced children that they may attain a life that is whole and declared through years of posterity.
At the heart of our work is a strong resolve to transform the lives of displaced and vulnerable children especially in the church. In line with our Christian faith we have compassion for those the world ignores. Our lifelong commitment is therefore to work to alleviate spiritual and material poverty, directly and indirectly.
The Welfare Department is to serve and work to enable vulnerable and displaced children to live an abundant, self-sufficient life that is free from social, physical, economical and spiritual inequity or injustice. Our Christian values is the belief that aid must be given regardless of race, religion, nationality or gender.
